INTERVIEW at U.S Embassy

OUTSIDE THE US Embassy: At the footbridge
4:30 am
- My mother and I arrived at the US Embassy. We were surprised that there were already applicants in line seating on a mono block chair. There were vendors who will approach you offering a mono block chair but you got to pay them for 30php each.
- We rented 2 chairs and we were waiting under the footbridge outside US Embassy premises.
- A company can't go inside the embassy so my mother waited for me under the footbridge with some of applicants companion.
6:30 am
- A vendor told us that applicants could already go inside the US Embassy premises.
- We waited for about 30 minutes before the guard told us that we could already go for checking of requirements at the tent. This tent is just situated at US Embassy's front doors.
4:30 am

AT THE TENT...
7:00 am - While waiting for your turn, prepare the required documents needed and make sure that you don't leave any blanks on your DS Forms or else you will be subjected for rescheduling of appointment. If answers are not applicable, just write NONE or N/A. - The greeter in blue shirts asked for my: a. DS 156 (2 copies) b. DS 157 (2 copies) c. DS 156k (1 copy) d. Appointment Letter e. Passport - The greeter stapled my DS Forms together with my appointment letter. - She placed barcode sticker at the back of my passport then put it inside a ziplock showing the biographical page. - The greeter told me that I could go inside. There were two doors upon entering the embassy. The left side is for the US citizen and the right side is for non US citizen. |

INTERVIEW: Filipino Officer
9:20
- My number flashed at the monitor.
- I went to Window 49 and I was interviewed by a Filipino officer.
- He was a nice officer and approachable.
- He asked how to pronounce my name correctly.LOL
- He asked for the following:
a. Original Birth certificate from NSO
b. CENOMAR from NSO
c. NBI Clearance with "Travel to USA" purpose.
d. Passport
e. Photocopy of Latest ITR (Form 1040)
f. Photocopy of Latest W2
g. I-134 Affidavit of Support
h. Visa Receipt
i. Pictures
- Then some questions were asked:
a. Who is your petitioner?
b. How did you meet?
c. Do you work?
d. Are you married before?
e. Can you give me pictures with your fiance?
- I handed him the scrapbook I made and he was amazed.:))
- He flipped page by page then he gave a comment like this: "Mahilig kayo sa selfie ah" Then I uttered "Yes Sir, mahilig po kami magpicture kasi" LOL
- He said "Ok. Sit back and wait for your number to be flashed."

AMERICAN CONSUL

- I went at my lucky window: Window 61 :))
- I was interviewed by a female American consul.
- She was so beautiful and I thanked God 'coz she was so nice.
- I was going to greet her but surprisingly she greeted me first.
- She said " Hello! How'd you doing?" Then I replied, "I'm good, thank you ma'am".
- I was relieved 'coz she talked pleasantly.
- She asked the following:
a. Who is your petitioner?
b. How did you meet?
c. How do you communicate? How often?
d. What is he doing?
e. When was the last time you saw him?
f. How long did he stay here?
- While she was asking, she was also reviewing our I-129F and she was like entering some information at the computer. So be sure to read and review your I-129F .
- Then she paused and said "Ok that's it. Congratulations! Your visa is approved. Sit back and wait for your number to be flashed.
- I was speechless. All of a sudden, my heart was filled with great joy. "Thank you Lord" I just uttered.
- I replied " Thank you so much ma'am. Thank you, thank you, thank you.:')" Then she just smiled back at me and said "You're welcome"..
- I was like "is this real?" Then at the back of my mind, "Yeah, it is. So rejoice and be thankful".:))
-My interview only took for about 5 mins.
----- TIPS: Only answer what is being asked. :)

WINDOW 71: Visa Delivery Information

- My number was called at Window 71.
- I fell in line 'coz the officer called applicants at the same time.
- The officer only verified my delivery option which is pick-up at 2Go branch at our place.
- That's it..:))
---- I thanked God 'coz I just passed my interview. But I know that it's just only the beginning. As long as you have God with you, you can make everything happen. :)
