It is a very good help if you follow steps on how to file for a K1 Visa for your Fiance(e).
AFTER RECEIVING NOA2...
STEP 1: CALL or EMAIL NVC
- 2 weeks after receiving the approval, contact the NVC 'coz you'll need to obtain your MNL Case Number for setting up appointment for interview.
- Our case number took 4 weeks before NVC notified my fiance through email.
- Call and email the NVC time by time as possible.

STEP 2: PAY YOUR VISA
- After receiving the MNL Case Number, you can now pay your nonimmigrant visa application fee with cash at any Bank of the Philippines island. - Before going to the bank, you must print the applicable U.S visa application deposit slip. STEP 3: SETTING UP APPOINTMENT FOR INTERVIEW
- After paying your visa, schedule an appointment for interview thru online or by calling the USEM. I recommend to schedule your appointment thru online 'coz it's easy, safe and hassle-free. You just need to create an account and fill up the registration form.
- Once done with the registration, click "Schedule My Appointment". You must keep your receipt 'coz you'll be needing to obtain the receipt number for setting up your appointment.
- You must print out the appointment letter after scheduling or you may send it to your email address to save and print it at your convenient time.

STEP 4: ST. LUKES MEDICAL CENTER EXTENSION CLINIC
- All K1 and K2 visa applicants must complete a medical examination at St. Lukes Medical Center Extension Clinic atleast a week before the interview appointment. Prior to their visit, applicants are also encouraged to register online with SLMEC at their website. Registering online will save processing time and make the visit to SLMEC faster and more efficient.

- Once approved, the embassy will ask you if you want your visa to be delivered via home or pick up at any 2GO outlet near your.

a. CEAC: Select "Immigrant visa" then enter your MNL case number.

STEP 7: COMMISSION ON FILIPINO OVERSEAS
- "As Filipinos going abroad as fiance(e)s, spouses or other partners of foreign nationals, you are required to attend the CFO's guidance and counseling session in order to secure the Guidance and Counseling Certificate (GCC) and the CFO sticker. You need this certificate to renew or apply for a new passport at the Department of Foreign Affairs. You will also need to present this certificate together with your spouse/partner visa, at the Immigration office at the international airport on your day of departure." - You may have the CFO's guidance and counseling session after your medical or interview or when you already received your visa. - " You may avail of the Guidance and Counseling Session even while you're still processing or waiting for your visa.. If such is the case, you will only be issued the Guidance and Counseling Certificate (GCP). Once your visa is released, you will return to CFO to continue with your registration. The CFO sticker will then be affixed on your passport." REQUIREMENTS FOR GCP: 1. 400 php for counseling and registration 2. 2 valid ID and photocopy of each. 3. duly completed registration form provided at the office. 4. other required documents: as to my experience, they only asked for a proof of genuine relationship like pictures, chat logs, etc and I had a one on one interview with the counselor. 5. If married, original and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office, or Local Civil Registry Offices; or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate (if married abroad) REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION: 1. Original and photocopy of Passport 2. Original and photocopy of visa 3. Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US-bound emigrants (except for K visa holders); 4. Original and photocopy of Confirmation of Permanent Residence for Canada-bound emigrants; 5. Original and photocopy of Certification of Eligibility for Japan-bound emigrants; 6. Original CFO guidance and counseling certificate; 7. Duly completed emigrant registration form; and 8. Payment of the authorized registration fee. -You may also register at CFO NAIA Desk on the day of your flight. Make sure to bring the requirements for registration. You should also call CFO NAIA1 desk 1-3days before your flight at (02)879-5685 to inform them that you will be registering in NAIA1 CFO desk. CFO NAIA1 desk is open everyday from 5AM til 12midnight. Be there at the airport atleast 3 hours before your flight. |
